Thursday 30th OctoberSinging/ Acting Workshops
Boyzone
impro
  • AM We cut some shapes to Britannia Highs new
theme song and boogied to Alpha beat and Wiley.
  • Blue group stayed in Performing Arts great hall
for Picture of you workshop with Adrian and
Laura. We did the singing warm up with Adrian
first, then cracked the lyrics and positions. The
song was quite low but actually easier than we
thought. Some cheesy boy band style side steps
and clicks added with the boys on one side and
girls on the other (obviously B)
). Hattie Jago could not stop smiling she was
great, as was Niall, Ian and Thomas. We did the
WHOLE song in the 45 min slot and they really
    impressed us!
  • Dangerous Reds went with Sammy, Richard, Jess and
James to do some Gauntlet running. With special
treasure at the end of the path the running team
had to avoid the dangerous obstacles of balls
that had been thrown by the throwing team to
collect as much treasure as possible before they
got out. There was some amazing dodging skills
    from Elly Howard.
  • Blues went off to get rid of any pent up
aggression/ stress from standing still for 45
mins playing diamond rounders, where the bowler
had a choice of four people who he could bowl the
ball to. As you can imagine, it got a bit
confusing! But Niall really got the hang of it,
showing off both his bowling and batting skills,
to stay in for the longest amount of time.
Unfortunately his skills werent enough to
prevent Natashas team from driving through to
    victory! Well done to all!!
  • The Reds came charging through the school back to
the Performing Arts studio! All launched into our
song rather impressive start. Mimi and Nick
really gave it their best shot straight off 0),
and when the volume was asked to be raised Amelia
didnt let us down!! Well they were only going to
do the chorus but they were TOO GOOD! Laura was a
    little emotional!

  • PM split for acting v sport. Acting Majority
stayed to get stuck in to drama activities. We
began with a few games such as word
association, follow the leader and change the
action This got everybody settled and eager to
move on to the improvisations! Each group were
given a a song title, a colour and a prop which
all had to be incorporated within the scene,
although the prop had to be used as another
object and the others had to guess the emotion in
the scene. Juliets group creatively used a pair
of gold wings as a handbag, whilst Jessica didnt
shy away from using a small cone as a guitar!!
This session was great fun, but also amusing to
see what ideas the kids can come up with
    themselves.
  • Sport Adrian, Rich, and James went for what as
undeniably one of the best sessions of sport all
week! With action packed games of Dodgeball to
start, with Richard making a total fool of
himself as the only helper to get hit when the
staff were doing the hitting! The football match
then had absolutely everything you could ever
wish for There were wild shots, close misses,
disallowed goals, and own goals, all topped off
by an absolutely fabulous last play winning goal
by Niall! Final score 2-1. Come On!!!
