  the amount of energy we use at home
• and it saves us money!

Ways To Save Energy At Home

• Replace filament bulbs with energy-saving bulbs
  they last much longer and use much less energy.
• If every house fitted just 1 of these bulbs,
  enough energy would be saved to power lighting in
  3 million homes for a year!
• Make sure your loft is well insulated and that
  your windows are double-glazed.
• The amount of energy lost through roofs and walls
  annually could heat 5 million homes for a year!
• Dont fill the kettle to make 1 or 2 cups of tea.
• If you boil only the water you need, in a week
  you could save enough energy to light a house for
  a day, or run a TV for 26 hours!
• Switch off lights and appliances when not in use.
• A TV on standby uses up to 80 of the power of
  being fully on, all the time!
