winter months. - Gather at least three sources of information on
your chosen topic. One source must be a primary
source. - Prepare a 3-5 minute PowerPoint presentation
where you will teach your audience about your
holiday.
3What is a primary source?
- A primary source is something that was created
during the time that the event occurred. A
primary source is an original work created by
someone who witnessed or experienced an event. - A secondary source is created using information
provided by someone else. Secondary sources are
usually created with some distance from the
event, either in time or experience.
4How do you determine if a source is a primary
source?
- Find out when the source was created
- Find out who created the item
- Find out why the item was created
