  • Can the following branches of science be found in
    sports. Or some aspect of a sport?
  • In what sport/s would you find.
  • Physics?

  • Are these sciences combined in one sport or on
    their own?

    Remember. Some sports are Canadian!!!

    involved in your sport

  • You might have to search books, the internet, ask
    your coach/trainer, or just talk to the Phys. Ed.
    people you can find this information!!!

    sport

  • Describe the dynamics of the players physical
    makeup. Are certain types of people better
    suited to certain sports?
  • What kind of training do athletes in this sport
    have to commit to?
  • Dry land conditioning, hours of practice/week,
    etc.
  • What are the most common injury types/sites?
  • Are there special treatments?
  • Is rehabilitation required?

The Bad Side of the Game
  • What are the major problems associated with your
    sport as far as cheating goes?
  • Chemical enhancements, doping, steroid use, etc.
  • Altering equipment, etc.
  • What is being done about it?
  • Penalties.. Playing time vs. monetary fine
  • At a local level
  • At a national level

Create a lab, activity or tutorial
  • You must create something that allows the rest
    of us to try to learn your sport.
  • Teaching technique must be demonstrated
  • Everyone will participate in your activity, so
    plan ahead (these are just suggestions)
  • Book space for demonstrations
  • Arrange for equipment for a few students
  • Arrange for extra instructorscheck with your
    teacher
  • You might want to make a video demonstrating
    proper technique in your sport as well
