2- A project is currently underway to replace the
states financial system (MFASIS) by upgrading to
the CGI-AMS ERP suite for state and local
governments, called AMS Advantage Financial
Management. - The Maine implementation includes the following

- MFASIS Upgrade Deployment Update
- The revised go-live date of the project is now
planned for 10/01/06. - Extended deployment strategy will reduce any
risks to a more acceptable level. - This deployment strategy requires that ongoing
development and testing efforts continue toward
their current planned completion dates and that
additional testing occur with all interfaces.

22 23- Up to 600 State employees will require training
as required by their agency. - Due to the magnitude of employee training, the
project will primarily use a Train the Trainer
approach. - Trainers identified by each participating agency
will be responsible for training supervisors and
employees in their agencies. - Agency trainers will be trained by project staff
to carry out this role.
24Training Assumptions
- Multiple training facilities with individual
access to machines will be used to train agency
trainers. - Trainers will be selected from Financial,
Procurement, InfoAdvantage, and Security sections
at each department. - It is intended for agencies to provide help desk
support. - Agency trainers will provide ongoing training to
new employees after the project close down.
25- Project staff (SOM CGI) will train
approximately 50 agency trainers. - The project will provide training for central and
agency support staff, both business and
technical, allowing them to respond to and
resolve user questions and problems associated
with AdvantageME. - Training will occur through instructor led
training and a Premier Conferencing delivery.
