Title: Illustrative Examples of RFID Transmissions Via 856 Shipment Notice
1Illustrative Examples of RFID Transmissions Via
856 Shipment Notice
- The left-hand side of the following slides
depicts the way that WAWF-RA currently transmits
vendor shipment information in the ASN 856. This
section includes Address, Shipment, Line Item and
UID information as it is currently used. - The right-hand side of the slides depicts
pictorially and textually the packing loop(s)
that vendors would create in the 856 to transmit
RFID information. This section shows Pack
(including Pallet, Case, and UID) information
including RFID Tag, Line Item and Quantity, and
the Unique Item Identifier (UII) associated with
the RFID. - In the following examples, the JH in REF01
denotes an RFID line. The SDQ line provides the
CLIN / SLIN and the Quantity of that line item
packed / shipped under the RFID to which the SDQ
line refers, i.e., it tells you how many of which
CLIN / SLIN are identified to which RFID tag.
