1
How To Make A Yearly Calendar.
  • ByKaleb Fail

2
Tags
  • You will first need to know some of the main tags
    to get started such as
  • ltHTMLgt
  • ltHEADgt
  • ltTITLEgt
  • ltBODYgt
  • ltTABLEgt
  • Remember at some time you will need to close each
    of these tags.

3
Writing your title and opening your body
  • After you open title, ltTITLEgt you write your
title then close your title. lt/TITLEgt
  • Once you have closed your title you can open your
    body. ltBODYgt
  • If your page looks like this you are doing great.
    ltHTMLgt ltHEADgt ltTITLEgtcalendar lt/TITLEgt ltBODYgt
    ltTABLEgt

4
Laying your page out
  • When your body is opened you can start to write
your body, and pick how you want your web page
    laid out.
  • You can center the table by using this tag
    ltCENTERgt.
  • You can also decide how big you want your
calendar by putting the width and height inside
    the table tag.
  • ExampleltTABLE WIDTH100 HEIGHT100gt

5
Laying your page out (Continued)
  • You can also chose how big you want the border,
chose a border color, and chose a background
color by putting it in the table tag as well.
(The table tag should look some what like this)
  • ExampleltTABLE WIDTH100 HEIGHT100 BORDER3
    BORDERCOLORBLUE BGCOLORREDgt

6
How to make your heading
  • Now it is time to label your calendars by opening
ltCENTERgt ltBgt and ltH1gt(Doing this is optional it
just centers and makes the name of the month
    bigger.)
  • Next you have to write the month like so
  • Example FEBUARY 2003

7
Starting your table
  • Next you have to open a few new tags such as ltTRgt
to start a row on the table. Then you have to
open ltTD COLSPAN7gt to get seven cells across the
    row.

8
How to make the days of the week
  • After you have written your month at the top of
the table you close the cell (lt/TDgt) and close
the row (lt/TRgt) then you open another new row and
a new cell. After you have opened the new cell
you write all the days of the week starting with
Sunday and remember that after each day you have
to close the cell, and before you write another
day you have to open a new cell.
  • ExampleltTDgtSundaylt/TDgt

9
How to number the calendar
  • Depending on what day the 1st day of the month
starts on you will need to leave blank cells.
  • So if the day starts on Tuesday you will want to
    leave two blank spaces.
  • You leave blank spaces by leaving cells empty.
  • ExampleltTDgt lt/TDgt ltTDgt lt/TDgt

10
How to number the calendar(Continued)
  • Then you start the days of the month by opening a
new row and a new cell then type a number, then
close the cell. You do this as many times as
there are days in the month.
  • ExampleltTDgt1lt/TDgt
  • ltTDgt2lt/TDgt and so-on

11
Starting new rows while you are numbering cells
  • Once you have numbered your cells to Saturday you
close the row (lt/TRgt) then open a new row (ltTRgt)
then continue to number each cell until you reach
Saturday again then do the same by closing and
    opening new rows.

12
How to link your months together
  • First of all you will need to close your table
tag lt/TABLEgt. To link all your months together
you need to have a link to your home page, one to
the previous month, and one to the next month,
but to link these you need to know a few more
    tags such as
  • ExampleAn unordered list ltULgt
  • and the link tag ltA HREFKALEB.HTMgtBack to my
    home pagelt/Agt

13
How to link your months together (continued)
  • After you have closed your table tag you then
open the unordered list tag ltULgt then you have to
put a list item tag ltLIgt in front of each of your
    links.
  • ExampleltULgt ltLIgt ltA HREFkaleb.HTMgtBack to my
    home pagelt/Agt

14
Closing tags
  • After you have numbered all your cells and have
made all your links you have to close a few
tags, your unordered list, body, and html.
  • Example lt/ULgt lt/BODYgt lt/HTMLgt
  • Remember to close these tags in this order.
