Calls Embark Scholarship

• There are two calls this year for the Embark
  Scholarship
• March 2006 (closing date 13th April)
• June 2006 (closing date August)

Changes in grant payments - 2006

• New grant payment for Masters (one year) is
  24,003 (increased from 19,050 in 2005)
• For PhD students, the overall payment is 72,009
  (over 3 years)
• In each case, 16,002 goes directly to the
  student per annum
• The remaining monies are for payment of fees,
  travel and other expenses

Most important part of your application

• Section on personal statement (12,000 characters
  including spaces)
• This is your opportunity to sell yourself
  and bring in anything you feel needs mentioning
  in your application

• You need to fill in all the mandatory fields
  marked with a red
• You can save your application form and come back
  to it later and submit it when you are happy that
  all the information has been filled in properly
