6Student Status at GTL
- Considered as a regular Georgia Tech Student
- Admission and graduation requirements set by the
Georgia Institute of Technology (same GRE,

Atlanta campus - The degree (MS or PhD) is from Georgia Tech (not
GTL) - Current programs in ME, EE, Comp E, Comp Sc.
- The instruction at GTL is in English by GT
faculty assigned to the Metz campus - Since 1991, over 900 MS students who were
enrolled at GTL have graduated with an MS - Double degrees exist with selected partner
schools - Research Laboratories (UMI GT-CNRS)
opportunities for MS and PhD theses.

11A Unique Opportunity
The Double Degree For Global Engineers
Students with a BS from a US university or
equivalent can obtain both the MSME from Georgia
Tech and a Master degree from ENSAM-SUPELEC, in
3 to 4 semesters only! ENSAM is the École
Nationale Supérieure dArts et Métiers. It is
the largest French Grande École in all areas of
mechanical engineering. SUPELEC is the École
Nationale Supérieure dElectricité. Both are
among the very best Engineering Schools in
France. (see next slides)

13 Double MS Degree Program (Contd.)
Program can also be completed in 4 semesters
1 course is transferred to GT Accredited by
the French Government

14Language requirement
- While a degree of knowledge of the French
language is desirable, it is NOT a requirement at
registration. - A French language course (not for credit and
free) is offered at GTL. Students are expected to
learn French gradually through immersion.
- It is a demanding program, but students without
prior knowledge of French do succeed!
15Program Costs
- Tuition and Fees
- RESIDENT status while registered at GTL 2,499 /
semester for 06-07 - Summer Internship
- Paid internship (Usually in France for US
students). - Fellowship
- 12,000 Fellowships available for qualified
students with a BS from a US institution if they
register for the double-degree program (MS-Master
Pro). - 4,000 for Fall, Spring, and Fall Contact Dr.
