  thats a nightmare. What is the nightmare that
  this statement foreshadows? Support your ideas

• Les Goodmans statement foreshadows the
  nightmare of neighbor turning on neighbor as they
  let fear take over their reason. They start
  acting as a mob, and the nightmare begins. They
  turn on Les when his car starts up. They turn on
  Steve when they hear about his ham radio. They
  turn on each other until no one is safe, and
  violence takes over. What started as a simple
  power outage has turned into a nightmarish state
  of anger and violence.
