General
  • Never send an email during weekends (your local
    weekends).
  • Gives a negative impression about your company.
  • Never use our, e.g.
  • Our solution , our company , our employees.
  • Instead use the solution , the product , the
    company name employees.
  • This includes your verbal conversations and any
    documented material, BTL, Website ..atc.
  • You represent your company , never complain about
    other employees , policies , products etc
    in-front of outsiders.
  • Since you represent your company , others expect
    that you know every thing about it (services,
    projects, plans.. etc) therefore answer to any
    such question professionally within the
    confidentiality rules, if you don't know an
    answer to a question , dont come up with one
    from your mind, apologize politely saying you
    will get back to them later but soon.
  • Your customer is the reason why your are doing
    your job , give customers your top most
    priorities , this includes both external and
    internal customers
  • Internal customers are your colleague employees ,
    other employees depend on input from you in order
    to successfully complete their work, even if its
    not part of your target , responding
    professionally and timely to internal employees
    counts for your professional attitude and
    reputation, and eventually your appraisal.

Keep on track
  • The way you dress , look , treat colleagues and
    customers are part of your companys image.
  • Follow up is one of the most core skills you must
    master , whether internally or externally , if
    you dont count on your mind to remember (like
    me) , use a follow up excel sheet like the
    attached.
  • If you make a lead , or any contact with
    outsiders and then you never follow-up or follow
    up after a month , by doing so you are giving one
    of the most bad impressions about your company,
    always follow up timely.
  • There is a thin hair between follow up and
    annoying therefore be careful to stay in between,
    too many follow ups does not necessarily mean
    that youre doing a good job.
  • Your managers expect results not excuses , this
    is a good prescription for success in any job you
    might ever take , therefore whenever you face a
    problem , try to solve it on your own and within
    your authorities until its solved, if you still
    cant solve it then consult with your manager ,
    the important thing is that when its time to
    report on it, you either have a good result or a
    very strong excuse that was out of your hands
    and which your manager is already aware of. (no
    surprises in reporting.)

Internal communication
  • Asafeen are not an acceptable behavior and are
    neither welcomed nor will be received or
    processed, EXCEPT in one and only one condition
    , if the companys welfare is going to be harmed.
  • Nevertheless if it turns out that the companys
    welfare is not going to be harmed by your Esfeen
    then it will extremely and negatively affect your
    appraisal.

External Communication
  • Use emails not phone calls, do not call except if
    its extremely urgent.
  • One SPOC with customer, not many employees
    calling customer.

Innovation
  • Be always innovative and provide customers with
    new Ideas, solutions, create the need and explain
    it, never ask customer to come up with ideas,
    never present poor or copied ideas, be extreme.
