PAINTS Programs Purpose.

• Many people living in San Carlos and Edinburg
  thrive on a low income, so many of the families
  may have self esteem problems.
• Art is an excellent way for one to express
  themselves and relieve stress.
• The program is not only of paint media, but of
  many other artistic medias such as pottery and
  drawing and even music and photography.

La Gente, The People.

• Many low income parents work all day, leaving
  their children alone.
• This program will provide the children with
  something to look forward to everyday.
• There are many artists that want to be
  discovered, but dont have the chance to have the
  spotlight.
• Even teachers are very willing to donate their
  time to the community and to programs that give
  back to the people.

Cultural Ties.

• Through the art classes students have the chance
  to learn about the many different cultures that
  are within the community. While not only
  enriching their culture it broadens their
  perception and appreciation of others and their
  heritage.

The Location.

• The Boys and Girls Club is a non-profit
  organization that sponsors activities and other
  programs.
• Their facilities provide efficient space and
  resources to host the artistic programs proposed.

Exposure.

• Community Calendars
• Con Mi Gente on local news channel
• Fliers
• Corporate sponsor in-store advertising
• Art classes at schools

The Money Factor.

• The main expenses will be for the supplies like
  brushes, canvases, and other art medias.
• Needed funding can be provided from businesses
  like Hobby Lobby and other local craft stores.
• The necessary supplies can be donated or possibly
  purchased at a discount with a non-profit tax
  exemption form.

Results.

• With increased self-esteem, students can believe
  in themselves more.
• The school art classes may interest many more
  students than before.
• The local exchange of culture and art can
  continue to thrive with the coming generation.
