How to get started

• Make clear school language policy
• Access www.shcc.edu.hk for Prescribed Reading
  Lists Recommended Reading Lists
• Get class update Reading Journal entries a few
  minutes before the end of Reading Lessons
• Adopt oral book recommendations schedule
• Post written book recommendations on class notice
  board

Use of Reading Journal

• Record title, author, date of publication, date
  read in the reading log
• Respond to reading in ones own words
• Get peer/ parent feedback
• Oral recommendations
• Post written recommendations

How to be informed

• Submit copy of the BEST entry in RJ to Reading
  Team for display on campus in December May
• Survey on Reading Progress.doc
