LLINs ordering and distribution

• No specific govt allocation towards LLINS
• National requirement for universal coverage is
  400 000
• Ordered 10,000 LLINs from a Japanese Grant to be
  distributed in October 2009
• Nets made available Botswana will be able to
  distribute nets by October 2010. But currently
  no donor commitment to get nets

ACT Ordering

• Procurement is done in a centralized system by
  the CMS however NMCP assist with quantification
  and monitors the distribution

IRS Schedule

• Yearly IRS application in all malaria districts
• Procurement process of insecticide and other
  logistics undertaken from May every year
• Training of spray persons every September in each
  district
• Annual spraying cycle from October December
