HISTORY
Uranus was discovered in 1781 by William
Herschel, a British astronomer. Astronomers sent

Extremely Interesting Facts
Uranus is the father of Saturn and the
grandfather of Jupiter. Uranus has one of the
most unusual orbital characteristics in the solar
system. The gravity is 0.9. One of Uranuss moons
is Miranda. This planet is made out of ridges and
valleys. The large scarps on Mirandas ridges are
taller than the walls on the Grand Canyon.
