What is the Fixed Facility Plan?
  • A medication distribution system for employees of
    fixed facilities, and their household members,
    activated during a natural or man-made event

Overall Medication Distribution Plan
  • Allocations of medications will be prioritized
    based on the epidemiology of the event, need and
    availability
  • Initial quantities of medications will be
    directed to the first responder community
  • Subsequent quantities of medications will be
    allocated to Point of Dispensing (POD) sites,
    which will include General Public sites, and
    fixed facility sites

  • Establish infrastructure for rapid distribution
    of medication to targeted population
  • Medication delivery Federal to State to Health
    Department to Facility
  • Fixed facility provides total numbers to
    Burlington County Health Department (BCHD)
  • Numbers will be multiplied by 5 by BCHD to
    account for household members

SNS materiel is received at state designated RSS
site
DHSS appropriates and distributes to LINCS
agencies
LINCS agencies and Fixed Facilities coordinate
delivery of medications
Employee distributes medication to household
members
Fixed Facility distributes medications to
employees/residents

Fixed Facility Responsibilities
  • Complete Letter of Understanding
  • Develop distribution plan
  • Establish facility points of contact (three-deep)
  • Identify distribution personnel
  • Provide numbers to BCHD
  • Identify all distribution sites and resources
  • Enrollment in BCHD Medical Reserve Corps
  • Attend trainings
  • Provide security as necessary
