What works?

• Start somewhere safe but move on to CHALLENGE
  pupils.
• Relate activities to a believable, real-life
  CONTEXT.
• Use Practical activities so pupils CAN DO the
  Science they are learning.
• Complex or dangerous activities need not be
  avoided they can often be SIMULATED or
  MODELLED.
• Seemingly mundane, simple activities can be
  enriched by adding an element of COMPETITION.
