Data Exchange the needs
The solutions
Customers Examples
8Data Exchange the needs
- Follow up the evolution of the product / system
configuration within the Enterprise and within
the extended Enterprise - Each actor should have access to an up-to-date
configuration - Up-to-date configurations should be supplied to
the partners - Need for the enterprise to update its own product
configurations with the elements supplied by the
partners - Collaboration on the different workflow driven
events of the projects (ECR / ECO, Non
conformities, Technical events) - Exchange with the sub contractors.
9The situation
- Contractual exchange of paper documents
- Remains the most usual
- Documents may be delivered also in a digital
format - Configurations are supplied as configuration
register - ECR, ECO, NC are supplied without any link with
the configurations - Difficulty to compare supplied data to data
existing in the internal system - Delays or errors
10The target
- Improve the reactivity
- Speed up data exchange
- Limit the duplication of data input and
associated errors - Guaranty that data are the right one at the right
version - Provide comprehensive and extensive indicators on
the completion of projects and tasks - With important constraints
- Teams all over the world
- Heterogeneous dispersed data
- An increasing number of projects to be done in a
decreasing amount of time - An increasing number of partners and
subcontractors - Increasing number of contractual requirements
with an increase of responsibilities

Data Exchange the needs
The solutions
Customers Examples
12The solution
- Make data accessible on line to all actors
- Employees of the company
- Partners
- Subcontractors, customers
- Make the data dynamic while helping the users
with Wizardflows
13Data accessibility different architectures
14Data accessibility (1) On line access
- For partners
- On demand access to authorized data
- Direct access to workflow tasks and to associated
data and actions on data - Import and export possibilities
- For subcontractors
- Exchange folder with its associated Workflow
15Data accessibility (2) System not accessible on
line
Hosted or ASP mode System
Web Services
Main System
DMZ / ASP
- Workflow initiated within the main system
- Workflow packages transferred to shared system
and back to the main system
16Data accessibility (3) Different PLM systems
Hosted or ASP mode System
Web Services
Packager
Systems
DMZ / ASP
- Asynchronous data transfer between systems
- Workflow available to all actors within the
shared system
17WizardFlow a new concept
- More than a workflow
- Dynamic access to the right data
- Automatized actions on the data
- An assistant to the user
- Dedicated business workflows
- Data exchange and its associated folder
- ECR/ECO, No Conformities, Retrofit, Problem
Reports
18WizardFlow data Exchange
19WizardFlow the Exchange folder
20WizardFlow the XML structured Exchange folder
- The exchange folder can be downloaded for off
line utilization and uploaded back
21WizardFlow ECR / ECO
22WizardFlow Technical events
23WizardFlow Non-conformities

Customers Examples
25Exemple 1 ACSI NACMA Identical independant
systems one way
- The supplier delivers regularly updated
configurations - XML Format asynchronous export and transfer
- FTP transfer
- System configuration and associated documentation
- The customer
- Asynchronous import
26Exemple 2 RATP
- Delivery of new systems
- BOM
- Associated documentation
- XML Format
- Internal process as delivered , as
installed - Delivery of systems updates
- XML Format
- Internal process as delivered , as
installed
27Exemple 3 Ariane Espace (project)
- Exchange of modification related data
- ECR, ECP, ECN
- Multidirectional
- Traceability
- Update of each Partner system
- Full configuration are exchanged only for
deliveries - Configuration are automatically updated in each
system through ECO
