• Summary of Products
• Being Re-Introduced This Fall

The Castleberrys plant in Augusta, GA has
commenced production. We have updated product
labels and assigned new UPC Codes for
Company-owned products that were involved in the
recall and that will be re-introduced into the
market. These proactive steps were taken to
ensure no confusion for retailers or consumers.

• Company-owned brands include Castleberrys,
  Austex, Bunker Hill, Morton House, Bryan, Cattle
  Drive, Black Rock and Triple Bar Ranch. All
  other brands in the recall were being co-packed
  for other marketers/retailers.
• Product labels for all Company-owned brands have
  been updated to differentiate new production.
  Changes range from a burst on some products to
  a complete package redesign for others. It is
  important to note that we will be using a
  combination of outside co-packers and internal
  production to meet the production requirements
  for our brands.
• Each Company-owned brand has its own summary page
  listing the products under such brand that were
  part of the recall and providing details on those
  products that will be re-introduced, under such
  brand, into the market this fall.
• Examples of old package designs, as well as the
  new packaging are included to provide visual
  depiction of changes. Not all individual SKUs
  have been provided. The intent is to provide
  guidance on old designs versus new designs.
• New UPC Codes are provided for all products that
  will be re-introduced into the market
• The last slide provides a summary of
  brands/products that were included in the recall
  that are not owned by Castleberrys
• We cannot provide any information regarding what
  these companies that we co-packed for are doing
  with their products and/or packaging going
  forward
• We understand that packaging is being changed and
  new UPC Codes assigned in some cases (ie. Kroger
  Hot Dog Chili Sauce, Beef Stew, Chili With Beans
  and Chili No Beans UPC codes have been changed)
• Many of the companies are working with other
  co-packers for their respective product needs.
  We believe Goldstar, Steak n Shake and Natural
  Balance have identified other packers.

It is important to note that there were many
products falling under Company-owned brands that
WERE NOT part of the recall. It is imperative to
differentiate between recalled products versus
non-recalled products. All information included
in this document provides an update specific only
to products included in the July 2007 recall.

• As noted previously, Company owned brands
  include Castleberrys, Austex, Bunker Hill,
  Morton House, Bryan, Cattle Drive, Black Rock and
  Triple Bar Ranch.
• The products included in this summary document
  only reflect products that were included in the
  July recall and that are being re-introduced
  this fall. In the event you would like to review
  the full product line for each brand, visit the
  Castleberrys Website at www.castleberrys.com and
  click on the brand links.
• All re-introduced products will have Best By
  dates beginning in August 2009 or later
• Significant complaints were lodged by retailers
  during the recall that items that were not part
  of the recall were being pulled off shelves by
  various agencies and state health departments.
  Please ensure comprehensive communication to
  field on points of distinction.
• In addition to non-recalled products being
  pulled, there were situations where
  marketers/retailers for whom the Company
  co-packed, had also used other co-packers for the
  same products. On USDA items, clarification can
  be made based on EST number. Products produced
  by Castleberrys contain either EST 195 or P-650
  in can code or label. In some cases, UPC Codes
  are different however there are cases when the
  UPC Codes are the same even though product is
  produced by separate packers.
• Winn Dixie has asked us to notify the agencies
  that the Thrifty Maid Hot Dog Chili Sauce on
  store shelves is produced by another co-packer
  and not Castleberrys.
