Title: Information to Give Students
1Information to Give Students
2Please Teach the Dress and Grooming Code to Avoid
Embarrassment
- Modesty is a must. Students wearing immodest
clothes will not be allowed to test, and will be
asked to go home and change. - Men with groomed beards, including the flavor
savor will not be allowed to test. They will be
asked to fix the problem before testing. - A special thank you to all of you instructors who
are making the effort to teach and expect your
students to live up to the commitment that they
have signed. It makes our job much easier when we
have consistency throughout campus.
3Upset Students
- Some students get upset when they are taught the
dress and grooming code here in the Testing
Center. They tell us that they cannot concentrate
on their tests after they have received a notice
of violation. Let them know that the obedience to
the dress and grooming code is part of their
preparation to test. Immodesty, especially is
distracting to others who are testing.

5Men are to be clean shaved
We teach by informing students of their
violations and giving them an Oh! Oh! card. With
the exception of blatant disobedience, such as
immodesty or groomed beards, we allow the
students to test. Blatant disobedience is
reported and they are not allowed to test until
they fix their problem. In the case of extreme
immodesty students should go home and change. The
Faculty needs to be aware that if one of their
students wait until the last minute to take their
test and they are in violation they may miss the
test deadline.
6The Oh! Oh! Card

unsure of the provisions of ht e Dress and
Grooming Standard, we have re-printed it on the
back of this card. Thank you for your courtesy
and good luck on your test.

9What the Student Needs to Test
- A 2 pencil
- Know the instructors name, the class name/
course number, and what test to ask for. - Example Martin Petersens, REL 301, Exam 2,
not Old Testament and that guy that has nice eyes
and is getting older. - They may want a pen for write-on tests.
- Students cannot leave a half-completed exam in
the Testing Center and plan to complete it later. - If a student writes on a test that has not been
set up to be written on there will be a 5.00
charge - Please inform your students that we do not have
enough resources to take personal calls about
opening and closing tests.
