of the young is now one of the keys for the
solution of global environmental problems and for
achieving sustainable development.

5Objectives
- Encourage corporations to demonstrate their
environmental corporate social responsibility
(CSR) - Instill a sense of responsibility and ownership
towards environment in staff (schools and
company) and the students - Enable corporations to play a role in grooming
young leaders and initiating environmental
programmes
6The Programme
- NEA initiates and faciliate the partnerships
process between the company and school - Partners develop and work on environmental
projects - Projects under the CASP programme will be
showcased at the Clean and Green Singapore (CGS)
Schools Carnival - Schools Carnival is the national-level showcase
platform for CASP programme
7Role of School
- To conceptualise, plan and implement project
- To involve students as a group / team on the
project(s) - To reach out to the wider student population
through the programme(s)

- Play an active role in crafting the project
jointly with the school - Provide advice and mentorship to the students

- Anglo Chinese School (Independent) Making Paper
from Grass - This project has produced paper of from freshly
cut grass clippings, by constructing an optimized
process for the manufacture of such. The paper
produced shows good strength and texture
properties. Dyes have been added to produce a
variety of hues, and papers of different
thicknesses have been made for assorted
applications. - Catholic High School (Primary) Mosquitoes No
More with EM Technology - Effective Microorganisms, also known as EM
Technology, are a cluster of beneficial organisms
which ferment organic matter in an anti-oxidative
way. The project aims to find out the
effectiveness of the use of EM on waste water, to
control and prevent the breeding of mosquitoes - Princess Elizabeth Primary School The Princess
Green Wall - - The reduction of wall surface temperature
through bottled plants. This reduces cooling
energy required and thermally comfortable
environment for the rooms and most importantly
energy savings.
