  bookings
• Where possible book sessions in blocks 10,20 or
  30 to reduce vaccine wastage

• Purchase light proof plastic containers to store
  prepared vaccines
• Store vaccines in monitored refrigerator 2 to 8
  degrees Celsius in accordance with the National
  Vaccine Storage Guidelines
• Check anaphylaxis response kit
• Order extra sharps containers
• Print up patient information flyers

• Download flu clinic patient recall letter from
  www.gppartners.com.au
• Search database to identify at risk patients,
  either print list and phone or mail merge to send
  patient recall letter
• Contact your Liaison officer for assistance

  on arrival

• Obtain valid consent

• Follow protocols for immunisation using MDV
• Inform patient of requirement to wait for 15
  minutes post vaccination
• Record the encounter and consent in patients
  clinical record
