WHAT THIS UNIT IS ALL ABOUT

• You are going to learn how to create a
  multimedia slide presentation that the audience
  finds useful and interesting
• It will take you about 3 lessons to carry out
  this task

We shall look at a presentation made by a pupil
called Pat. Its purpose is to introduce Pat to
the rest of the class

My name is Pat Smith

• I live at 45 West street in Newtown by the post
  office in a house with a blue door and three
  bedrooms
• My mum works for the post office and goes to work
  very early every day and I have to get breakfast
  for Jane
• My best friend likes football and chips and his
  dads car and going to his nans house on sundays
  except when Jamie is there because shes always
  getting everyone into trouble

My family

• My dad lives in Spain
• My sister is younger than me and is a pain in the
  neck
• We have got three cats called Tommy fred and
  tibbs
• We got our dog from the rescue centre because he
  had been abadoned

• Miss jones was great but mr best was horrid and
  he got cross when I talked

You are going to create six slides Slide 1 (your
first slide) Your first slide must clearly state
what your presentation is about You will need to
decide what you are going to type into this
slide. The next 4 slides These slides will have
headings and will tell the audience things about
you. You will need to decide what your headings
will be and then what you are going to tell your
audience. Slide 6 (your last slide) This slide
simply tells the audience that your presentation
has finished.

• What would the audience find useful to know?
• What is the most important piece of information
  in your presentation?
• Do your slides start with the most important
  information in your presentation?
• Is the content suitable for the purpose and the
  audience?

• HOMEWORK
• Collect some pictures that you might want to use
  in your presentation.
• This might be photographs or cuttings from
  magazines.
• If you have a scanner or digital camera at home
  save your pictures on a floppy disk and bring
  this into school.
