Andy

• This is Andy. He is an 18 year old boy in his
  last year of high school. He has a girlfriend
  Norah, and just recently made the high school
  hockey team. Besides dealing with everyday life,
  he has to cope with having diabetes.

MIDTERMS!

• Its time for MIDTERM EXAMS, and with all the
  hockey practices and spending time with his
  girlfriend, Andy fails his Calculus
  midtermMISERABLY.

UH-OH!

• In order to stay on the hockey team, Andy decides
  to devote the time he has when hes not
  practicing to study. This frustrates his
  girlfriend because he isnt spending ANY time
  with her anymore.

• Tired of being on the backburner of their
  relationship, Norah decides that if shes not
  worth his time he isnt worth hers So they
  breakup.
• Feeling sorry for himself, Andy decides to just
  stop trying all together.

Heard it through the Grapevine

• Still angry about how things ended with Andy,
  Norah starts to spread ugly rumors about him.
  Some of these rumors include doing drugs and
  drinking.

What Now???

• Word gets around to Andys hockey coach and the
  team has a zero tolerance policy for drug use and
  alcohol. So in the end, Andy loses his spot on
  the team.

• Andy decides it would be in his best interest to
  continue to study, but when hes not studying he
  sits on the couch all day. He cant sleep very
  well at night because his house is right off of a
  busy highway and all the horns and lights keep
  him up.

• The next day, Andy decides to talk to Norah about
  all these rumors she started. She has no idea
  that it has affected his hockey career and
  apologizes for putting him through this. They
  decide they really cant ever date again, but
  they can just be friends.

Movin On Up!

• Without having to spend so much time at hockey
  practice, he had time to study more, and raise
  his Calculus grade up to an 89. His parents are
  proud of him and theres only one thing left to
  do talk to his hockey coach.

Lets Talk It Out

• Andy decides to talk with his hockey coach and
  explain how things went with Norah. Andy tells
  him that it was all because Norah was still mad
  at him for not spending time with her. Andy also
  said hed be willing to take a drug test to prove
  his sobriety.

• After hearing what Andy had to say, the hockey
  coach decides to give Andy a second chance.

• Theres only one thing left on Andys list to do
  ask his parents if he can move to the spare
  bedroom in the basement. Its not as noisy down
  there and he can get the sleep he needs. After
  seeing how hard Andy has worked to set his life
  straight they tell him its okay.

In The End

• Andy and Norah are friends and still keep in
  touch
• Andys back on the hockey team
• Time management is now a big priority and
  studying is playing a big role in Andys schedule
• To make sure his diabetes dont interfere with
  his life Andy has gotten a new diabetic insulin
  pump that monitors his blood sugar levels.
