Dogs sometimes barf. When should I be concerned?

• -It is always concerning, and something you
  should watch closely.
• -One incident plus a happy dog who eats and does
  everything else normally probably an upset
  stomach.

However, vomiting is more serious if

• -It happens another time (or again and again)
• -He is otherwise not happy. No appetite,
  lethargic, painful, or seems unwell.
• -He may have eaten something he shouldnt have
  (pieces of clothing, toys, cleaners, rat
• poison, toxicants, garbage) LOOK in
• vomit!
• -You see something in the vomit that is
  concerning (blood, foam, pieces of something,
  strange colors)

• Most dogs who vomit because they are sick will
  let you know something is wrong.
• It is up to you to pick up on these signs and
  call or bring your pet in to a nearby vets
  office.
