Title: Equipping
1Some of the volunteers on Sundays include In
Childrens Nurseries youll see Nursery
Caregivers who come each Sunday and are a
familiar face for children. In Two Three
Year old Classes volunteers tell Bible stories
and do simple activities with the children.
4s, 5s and Kindergarten teachers share Bible
stories using visual aids, encourage children to
creatively respond to the lesson and help prepare
children for worship. 1st 3rd graders are met
by teachers who enjoy getting kids to talk and
think. They enjoy, love and pray for children in
their group. Teachers creatively communicate and
proclaim Bible truth to their students. 4th,
5th, and 6th grade Sunday School Teachers share
teaching responsibilities and seek to build
relationships with children as they challenge
them to think, ask questions and go to scripture
for answers. Special Needs Teachers/Shadows are
volunteers that work with a small group of
delightful children with special needs, assisting
them in activities and relationships. Volunteers
work either in the 1000 Sunday School class or
as a shadow in a regular class. Substitutes
encourage and support our regular volunteers by
substituting for them 6 11 times during the
year. Facilitators support church staff and
Sunday School teachers by monitoring hallways
during Sunday School classes. Volunteer Teachers
and Church Staff teach classes from 7th grade
through adult and usually work from a variety of
curriculum based on interests and needs of
various groups. Thanks to all who nurture the
body of Christ at Redeemer. Redeemer

Special Note to Parents The goal of having a
central equipping hour is to focus our attention
on the character and greatness of God. One of
the things you can do to reinforce this goal and
help make this a reality is to attend worship
together. Families are encouraged to go to
Sunday School as well as worship as a family
before or after the equipping hour. Pamphlets
are available in the lobby to assist parents in
teaching their children about worshiping
together. We welcome children of all ages to
both worship services.
