1IFPS Spot Formatter
- Virgil T. Middendorf
- National Weather Service
- Billings, MT
2Versions of Web Spot Request Forms
- WRSpot used by most WR offices last 4 years.
Forecast is typed into a web interface instead of
on AWIPS. - National Same as WRSpot, but hosted on a
national server on the east coast. ER, CR, and
SR offices are all using this version. - IFPS Spot modified version of WRSpot that
allows transfer of information between the WR web
server and AWIPS (and hence IFPS). BYZ, GGW, MFR,
PDT, and RIW are using this version operationally.
