solutions.
SSW worked on this large 3-tier ASP, VB, and SQL
Server 2000 project to help integrate existing
data with the Commonwealth Bank Asset Management
System. One of the requirements was to create a
specialised data transformation system to
facilitate the AMS in predicting future rental
prices on all properties owned by the
Commonwealth Bank. Components of this project
used an ASP interface created by SSW. Validation
of the imported data was done in DTS via a Visual
Basic 6.0 COM object called by the DTS ActiveX
scripts.

Magna Data has been a central part of the
commercial Internet Industry in Australia since
the beginning, from it's inception as the first
officially sanctioned provider of Internet
access, through to establishing the Internet
Industry Association of Australia. SSW converted
the customer database which was stored in a
Microsoft Excel spreadsheet into a fully workable
database using Microsoft Access. Following the
rapid growth of their business, SSW were further
contracted to implement SQL Server 7.0 and to
also develop an ASP front-end.

The Commonwealth bank of Australia
SSW has been working with the Commonwealth Bank
over the last year on two core .NET development
projects, CommTrack and MIS Toolbox. CommTrack
is a timesheet application that allows managers
to report on and measure business performance.
Initially rolled out to 1,000 users, its success
has seen that figure jump to 10,000, with the
potential for up to 30,000 users over the next
two years. MIS Toolbox is closely tied into
CommTrack. It manages the complex hierarchy of
business activities the users are able to select
while theyre setting up their profile.

Suntory Alcohol
SSW was commissioned to design and develop a .NET
Windows Forms Solution for Suntory Alcohol to
assist with the process of selling their products
(Midori etc) to bars around Australia. Designed
to operate on a tablet PC, The Suntory Cocktail
Menu Builder allows salespeople to walk into a
bar and design a custom cocktail menu that
utilizes Suntory alcohol products. The
application allows you to select from a large
range of possible cocktails, as well as choose
options like menu size, fonts, colors and finish,
then view your newly created menu as a PDF so it
can be signed off and sent to the printer.

Westbus is Sydney's largest private bus company
providing local, city, school and charter bus
services.
SSW developed Westbus' Charter Booking system to
serve multiple concurrent users. SSW replaced an
existing DOS system, to automate quote
calculation and to integrate with Microsoft Great
Plains Accounting for invoicing. The application
was developed as an ASP.NET intranet application
using a 4 tier design. The .NET Framework 1.1 was
used in conjunction with SQL Server. The system
generates reports powered by Crystal Reports
whilst being exportable to Adobe Acrobat PDF.
SSWs simple and efficient design has ensured
the application has been quickly accepted by the
depot users Daniela Fontana, Business
Development Manager, Westbus.
