This is a purpose built, easy to use, Excel based
program that is designed not only to bring
another angle to your golf but to act as a
training aid. The golf-stats program will allow
you to pinpoint areas of weakness within your
game helping you focus your practice time on the
parts of your game that could be improved the
most. It is a legitimate and proven training
technique and really helps remove any weaknesses
for your game, leading to an all round confidence
that will naturally lower your scores. It takes
less that 5 minutes to complete after each
round. This guide will talk you through how
golf-stats works. You will see the simplicity,

Enter the competition name in the box provided.

Input your scores on each hole and adjust the
pars on each hole to fit with the course played.

Colour coding buttons
Colour code the scores using the grey buttons at
the top. Click on a hole score and click the
corresponding button. Hold down Ctrl key to
select more than one cell at a time. Now click on
the Data Entry Sheet tab at the bottom to move to
the next page.

This is the sheet where all the data is
displayed. Most figures are completed already,
but for each round you will need to complete the
cells coloured orange. That is the date, the
course, your greens hit in regulation, fairways
hit, putts per round, total putts on greens hit
in regulation, scrambling (par saves after a
missed GIR), bunkers found and finally the number
of pars saved from bunkers.

Once these cells are filled in, use the tabs at
the bottom of the page to move on to the Stats
Sheet. N.B. You do not have to fill in all the
data if you dont want to. The stats will be
calculate for those fields completed. For
example, if you are not interested in scrambling
stats, just leave this blank.

Set yourself targets and display them here.
Your stats are shown on this page. The column on
the right should be used for entering targetsa
suggestion is to enter your stats figures from
the previous season.

With previous seasons figures acting as a target,
if your current figure is better than your target
figure, the box will be highlighted blue.

Use the tabs at the bottom to move to the
Calendar Scores page. Input your score in the
corresponding cell for the date of the round
played.

As the year progresses, keep your entries going
and you can track how your form has faired by
using the tabs at the bottom of the page to move
to the Performance Graph.

Use these buttons to adjust the par line to your
home club par.
Each score entered is shown with a black line.
Click on the buttons at the top to move the par
line to fit the par of the course most frequently
played.

figures to pinpoint your weaker areasset

pinpointed areas, meet the targets and watch the
scores come down.
