Why are we here??

• This is a common question. You are here to
  share your ideas and to help the N4CSGA Treasurer
  create next years annual budget.
• Note The budget is not being written today.
  This is just a way to get your input before
  conference.

Budget 101

• The following slides will familiarize you with
  the Budget.

Income

• This is the amount that shows how much money we
  expect to take in.
• Total Income Total Expenses

Expenditures

• Every June the new Executive Board meets and has
  bonding retreat in order to go over the agenda
  for next year.
• Last years retreat was held at Peace College in
  Raleigh.

ExpendituresFall Conference

• Disability N4CSGA having to provide disability
  accommodations in order to meet the needs of the
  delegates
• Hotels and Meals Cost of hotel, and the
  Promotional Items
• Printing Any printing that needs to be done for
  Conference( Conference Packet).

• Awards and Miscellaneous Contest awards, gift
  bags, and other misc. things.
• Entertainment DJ Expenses

  Fall Conference therefore, it must have more
  money allocated.

• Fund in case a school does not sponsor their
  member of the Executive Board

• Once a year, per state law, the N4CSGA has an
  annual audit done on its books.
• This fund is also for other household expenses
  such as insurance.

• This fund is for any supplies and printing that
  is needed for meetings or other events not
  previously mentioned.

• Website Upkeep Fund that is needed in order for
  us to maintain our website (http//www.n4csga.org)
  .
• Advisory Council Needed to pay for the services
  of our wonderful advisors.
• ASACC Conference Fund used for advocacy trips

ExpendituresDivision Meetings

• Used to pay for annual division meetings
• Numbers are based on the amount of schools per
  division
• Eastern has more schools gt Eastern gets more

Some things to consider!

• The cost to hold a conference is increasing
• We can not raise rates with out alienating
  schools
• What are the things that you want to see the
  N4CSGA do (i.e. more advocacy more )
• Keep a balanced budget!!!

The Next Step!

• After taking all of the ideas from the Division
  Meetings the N4CSGA Treasurer will create the
  2008-2009 Budget.
• At the Spring Conference Finance Committee
  Meetings the final details are ironed out
• The budget is approved and set only when the
  entire delegation passes it at Spring Conference.
