Title: What do our Firstyears have to say about Economics

1
What do our First-years have to say about
Economics?
Economics is studying how people choose to spend
their limited incomes on unlimited
wants. Economics is about the world around us,
how people spend their money to benefit
themselves. However, its complicated and makes
life very difficult for us. Economics is about
the economy and how it works. It seems to be
purely about efficiency. Economics is about the
relationship between producers consumers and
the way in which the forces of supply demand
affect prices products in the
economy. Economics is the study of how a country
runs globally and within itself. How we use our
limited resources ( in our country globally )
to satisfy the infinite wants of people living
within the country. Economics is the rotation,
management and analysis of money. Economics
deals with the processors involved in balancing
the limited resources in society and the
unlimited wants of the consumers. Economics is
about how the world uses its limited resources to
the best ability to cope with our unlimited wants
needs. Economics is the study of choice. It
concerns the worldwide problem of scarcity. We
all have unlimited wants limited resources
have to choose hence economics. Economics is
about money and how it moves from one place to
the next. Oh, dont forget about all the graphs
and curves and lines and stuff. You never knew
this stuff could represented on a
graph. Economics is all about drawing graphs,
staying awake attending lectures! This is
essential. Economics is a fun interesting
subject as one learns how to manipulate the
consumers. Who said that economics is only
about theory come and see for yourself. Economics
is pretty interesting, its about supply
demand. Economics can be fun, just attend all
your lectures, if you dont it will be everything
but fun. Enjoy, it aint that bad. Economics is
quite interesting as it deals with a key global
matter, money and how its used earned and also
how the products we consumers are influenced by
our wants and needs. Economics is relevant and
interesting much more so than maths and
accounting. It can easily be applied and related
to the world around us. Economics is about
understanding how the markets of the world works.
It is interesting to learn about how consumers
producers affect each other. Economics is like
too much alchohol, it bites you back the next
morning. UCT is no joke, in fact its good to
make a joke out of you. So come
prepared. Economics has taught me that every
decision in life has an opportunity
cost. According to economics, the glass is half
empty ( scarcity ). Economics is challenging yet
fulfilling. Ecos is for pros Economics is
hella fun. Its about life! Economics does
require a brain! Dont be fooled. Economics is
an interesting social science that is relevant to
our everyday lives. As you start learning more
about it, you will realise how it does apply to
our lives. If your demand for the best quality
education is inelastic UCT has the supply. Make
the right decision. Economics is awesome because
of the deeper understanding it helps us to reach
the way we function in our daily lives.
Opportunity cost has become my motto for the
year. Economics is about discovering new things,
understanding them and challenging those we
believe in as a global economy. Economics is not
all about money or the moola as many
people think. Economics goes deep into the
relationship between consumers and suppliers.
Our very own Thabo Mbeki, studied
Economicsthats deep! Economics is not only
about business but about real life and decisions
made every day without even realising it.
Economics is everywhere. Economics is a way of
looking at how societies organise themselves and
interact with each other, and looking at how
societies choose what to produce and who gets
what.
