Nuestros objetivos en esta reuniónOur objectives
at this Meeting
  • Integration Integración - Our overall hypothesis
  • Prepare a plan for outputs Productos Científicos
scientific papers to present at annual SANREM
    CRSP
  • Determine which are the products and strategies
Establecer cuáles son los productos y estrategías
  • Review where we are in year 2 activities and
determine what activities and outputs remain for
this year Cuáles actividades faltan completar
    este año y los productos
  • Plan integration activities Plan de actividades
de integración today and for year three
    objectives and activities
  • Ensure that we have a plan to respond to the EEP
Comments on our project Nuestro plan debe
    responder al EEP
  • Discuss how budgets will adjust to meet
objectives Presupuestos y Reajustes para lograr
    nuestros objetivos

The projects five objectives
  • Develop a shared understanding of the drivers of
    change in Andean Ecosystems.
  • Measure the role of market and climate risks
    (objective and perceived) on livelihood
strategies, and the role of assets on risk
    perceptions and strategies. Response to
perceptions of the relative risks associated with
    these changes.
  • Explicitly link local and new knowledge to
produce practices and information that provide
    alternatives to adapt to change.
  • Evaluate and identify market integration
opportunities and institutions that contribute to
    resilience.
  • Develop methods that integrate these knowledge
systems, build capacities and capabilities to
adapt to change pathways that enables research
    impact.

EEP questions - what we have to address
  • This is what we will be evaluated on
  • INTEGRATION we need to make sure we are talking
to each other research should relate to other
sites understand and use results from other
    sites
  • SCIENTIFIC RIGOR - a plan for journal
    article publications
  • Research feeding into common set of
    HYPOTHESES
  • IF our COLLABORATORS in communities visit
each others sites, what would they have to share
    with each other
  • A CONCEPTUAL MODEL
  • OUR PRODUCTS (practices, strategies,
knowledge, information, institutions) in terms of
contributing to ADAPTATION how do we ensure
    these respond to adaptation (INSTITUTIONS,
    INTERVENTIONS, INFORMATION)
  • BUDGETS to achieve objectives we will have
to reorganize budgets. With a ten percent budget
    cut scenario implications
  • Identify outputs and products, develop a
    plan to achieve them.
  • A BASELINE SITE FOR CLIMATE CHANGE ASSESSMENT

16
Budget Cycle Expenses and Invoices
  • Last day September 30th
  • Final Invoice to the ME by December 15th
  • Final Invoice to Missouri by October 30th
  • Consider there are lags between expenses and
    these showing in accounts
  • Spend as soon as possible and invoice
  • Let your fiscal and grants office the deadlines
