German I

• German Level I provides a framework for the
  student as he or she begins the study of the
  language. Correct pronunciation, useful
  vocabulary accompanied by appropriate grammatical
  structures in conjunction with Germanic cultural
  habits are stressed to encourage students to work
  toward learning to communicate both orally and in
  writing in
• German.

Book bags

• The classroom is crowded. I like to circulate
  around my classroom so I can speak and interact
  with all of my students. PLEASE KEEP YOUR
  BOOKBAG AND OTHER MATERIALS OUT OF THE AISLES.
  Leave a clear path so classmates and I can easily
  walk between desks without tripping.

Pencil sharpening

• Sharpen your pencil before class begins. If
  necessary, please ask permission to sharpen at
  other times during class. There are electric
  pencil sharpeners at the front of class for your
  convenience

• Tissues and baby wipes are available at the front
  of the classroom. Feel free to get one at any
  time, QUIETLY!
• If you must blow your nose, you may step right
  outside the classroom for privacy to do this.

Be respectful!

• I am almost always in a good mood! Believe it or
  not I like to have fun, make class fun, and
  laugh.
• Ask questions at appropriate times, raise your
  hand to be recognized. Respect everyones
  feelings and RIGHT to learn.

Asking permission to leave class

• Use good judgment about asking to leave class.
  You must have your planner with you so that I may
  sign for you to leave. If you need to go to the
  restroom, etc. ask at an appropriate time,
  quietly. Go to your destination and return
  promptly. Be considerate and do your best to
  take care of personal needs between classes. If
  you violate my trust, appropriate consequences
  will result. At the very least you may be denied
  from leaving my classroom.
