Project Description

• Project covers understanding the current process
  involved in the techniques used for crime
  Investigation to generate movies for the visual
  representation of the results of the
  investigation like reconstruction of different
  types of crimes, accepting the limited parameters
  of the physical observation by the clues team,
  allotting related options to the user for the
  easy identification of the crime etc.,.

About the Software Used

• The application will first ask for the user
  authentication. After the authentication, it will
  give the user an option either to edit an
  existing case with the case number or to create a
  new case
• If the user opts for a new case then the
  application will ask him a number of questions,
  which are based on the study inputs given by
  the APFSL clues team. All these parameters will
  be saved in the database for future references

About the Software Used contd.,

• The application will also have a drawing program
  where the user will be able to sketch the plan of
  the crime scene. He will also be able to fix the
  position of the crime, victims the criminals.
• Based on the CLUES available in that particular
  case, the user can create animations using the
  libraries provided in the database. There are 10
  major categories identified and provided with
  each of 10 to 15 animated/ static characters
  which will be stored as a library. The virtual
  crime scene application will collect the entire
  characters category wise displays in the
  application. The authorized user can construct a
  crime scene using these characters.

About the Software Used contd.,

• If the user opts for an existing case then
  according to the case number all the previously
  entered parameters and their value will be
  retrieved and shown to the user. He may edit any
  number of parameter values and types and once he
  clicks on Finish the new movie will overwrite
  the old one with the same file name.
