Definitions of Properties

• Physical properties can be observed without
  chemically changing matter.
• Chemical properties describe how a substance
  interacts with other substances.

PROPERTIES

• Intensive A property that does not change when
  the amount of sample changes. Examples are
  density, pressure, temperature, color.
• Extensive A property that changes when the amount
  of matter in a sample changes. Examples are mass,
  volume, length, and charge
