God is loving, good and desires our best

• Jer 3240 I will make an everlasting covenant
  with them I will never stop doing good to them,
  and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they
  will never turn away from me. 41 I will rejoice
  in doing them good .. with all my heart and
  soul.

It all starts with God

• I chronicles 2911 Yours, O LORD, is the
  greatness and the power and the glory and the
  majesty and the splendor, for everything in
  heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the
  kingdom you are exalted as head over all. 12
  Wealth and honor come from you you are the ruler
  of all things. In your hands are strength and
  power to exalt and give strength to all.

Gods purpose for us

• In Christ we are reborn into the kingdom, a new
  creation, have the authority of being children of
  God, have the Holy Spirit living in us so the
  likeness of Christ may be formed in us. We have
  eternal life

• Romans 829 For those God foreknew he also
  predestined to be conformed to the likeness of
  his Son, that he might be the firstborn among
  many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he
  also called those he called, he also justified
  those he justified, he also glorified.

• What attitudes give God room to fulfill his
  purpose in us?
• What tools does God use to form us in the
  likeness of Christ?

  the Spirit in us and prevent the formation of
  Christ in us?

• Heb 37So, as the Holy Spirit says "Today, if
  you hear his voice, 8do not harden your hearts
• Heb 416Let us then approach the throne of grace
  with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and
  find grace to help us in our time of need
