Roller coaster packet
  • Once more, choose 2 or 3 for a team to carry out
    work to learn about work and energy using the
    roller coaster as our focus.
  • The packet is worth 100 points which you have to
    start with and you will only lose points if you
    fail to complete assigned work or if you have
    made errors.
  • You may gain points by choosing optional work for
    extra credit.
  • Page 2 of the packet is really the bulk of the
    test that will follow the work. There will be
    quizzes.
  • Be sure to do this neatly and completely!

  • Page 5,6 design a way to demonstrate the
    principles. Your teacher wont do itYOU will.
  • Page 7-18 design, build carry out the activities
    of a roller coaster.
  • Page 19-20 Your group will answer all of the
    questions by actually carrying out the activity
    to prove your answers.
  • Page 21-33 do it all. Be sure to clearly make all
    calculations, include equations.
  • Carry out the friction lab. See Miss Malley for
    the report form and the equipment. You will begin
    to measure the effects of friction as you move
    objects across various surfaces. This lab is
    worth 10 points all by itself in addition to the
    100 points in the packet.
