MINSK HEAT POWER STATIOM
Reconstruction of Minsk Power Station
2 Minsk Heat Power Station HPS - 2
Minsk Heat Power Station was put into operation
in 1934, and it provides with heat and
electricity the residents and industrial
enterprises of the central part of Minsk. This
station belongs to Republican enterprise
Minskenergo, which is going to implement the
reconstruction of HPS-2. Most of the equipment is
warn out and needs to be decommissioned and
replaced. The area of HPS-2 is situated on the
left bank of the river Svisloch. At the Heat
Power Station there are three steam boilers with
the steam output capacity 400 t/year year, three
steam turbines with total electric power 31000
kV. In the main boiler house there are four hot
water boilers with nominal power 100 Gcal/h. All
steam and hot water boilers work for individual
metal pipe each. Replacement of HPS-2 equipment
by2 gas and steam combined units will improve
the efficiency of power station. The main kind
of fuel is natural gaslt reserve fuel is black
oil. The source of water supply is the river
Svislotch and citys pipeline. Considering the
scheme of heat supply, maximum loads per hour in
2015 will be Steam, t/h Heating water,
Gcal/h 34 394
3 The Process of Reconstruction
- During the reconstruction it is planned to make
the following - to preserve completely hot water boiler house
- in the main building to decommission three steam
boilers and all steam turbines and to install two
gas and steam combined units. Each gas and steam
combined unit includes gas turbo unit with 25 MW
capacity, waste heat boiler (Do 36 t/h, Po 40
atm/cm², tº 440 C) - and steam turbine with 6 MW power. Steam turbines
would be installed in the machine building
replacing decommissioned ones. - Generators with 6 MW capacity are switched in the
newly designed 10 kV distributing main. - Technical design for reconstruction of
industrial water supply is the following - preservation of the existing source of water
supply the river Svislotch and packing the
artesian borehole - replacement of the direct flow water cooling
system for circulating system with the output of
800 m³/h. - For water level maintenance of newly installed
waste heat boilers and stem boilers it is
necessary to use the installation with the output
of 25 m³/h. - The total output of chemical water treatment is
258 m³/h. It is planned to use water from the
river Svislotch to feed boilers. - To raise gas pressure it is envisaged to install
gas compressors before gas turbines and to place
them into gas compressor station.
