Configuration
- Start Outlook
- Setup the Internet E-mail Information Service
(97,98,2000) - Setup SMTP for the connector
- The Insight Connector Wizard will run. Specify
the following - host the hostname of the Volution Messaging
Server - port 143
- login the SCO Messaging Server user ID
- password the SCO Messaging Server password
- Use the ping button to test connectivity
- Setup PST (Personal Storage) files
- Click Next to finish up
- Restart Outlook
- Disable email account synchronization
- Synchronize email and move folders under INBOX
- Configure free/busy (optional)

- Suggestions
- High traffic folders such as the Inbox and
real-time collaboration folders will probably
want to use sync types 4 and either 1 or 3. - Intermediate traffic folders such as
collaborative shared folders might want to use
sync type 1 or 3. - Low traffic folders such as Deleted Items might
want to use sync type 2.

- Select a folder in the Outlook folder list.

toolbar. - Set folder access.

- It is not necessary to subscribe/unsubscribe to
- shared IMAP folders with the SCO Insight
Connector. - The Connector automatically adds shared folders
to your - Outlook folder list.

ID in the Outlook folders list. - Shared folders are visible across VMS domains

- Setting up the Public folders area is a task
performed by the administrator. - Using the connector configure an email account in
Outlook for the admin user. - Connect as the admin user and create a folder
in the global space (same level as the admin
Inbox) called Public. - Assign appropriate permissions to the Public
folder such as full access for the special user
anyone. - Using the Public area to create a shared address
book - Create a folder within the Public folder of type
Contacts - Assign anyone all permissions
- Users can copy Contacts to/from this folder

- Temporarily disable any anti-virus software
- Make sure you have the following info ready

- license key for SCO Insight LDAP Client
