  • Appreciate the other persons view.
  • Give freely of your experience.
  • Say what you think courteously.
  • Confine your discussion to the topic.
  • Thanks,
  • Combining Topic Sin Separates
  • Lesson Text Isaiah 591-2v (GEN 33v) (ROM 512v
    623v) (ROM 521v) (1 THESS 414-18v) (1 THESS 5
    1-11v) (1 John 21-2v) (Ps. 325v)

2
Biblical Importance
  • Isaiah 591st verse says, Behold, the Lords
hand is not shortened, that it cannot save nor
His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.
  • Regardless of the degree of sin, the Lord can
still save, He can still, here a sinner prayer.
  • The 2nd verse reminds one that it is your sin and
iniquities that have separated you from God.
  • It is important to know that whos ever takes
that way of life, shall not know peace, simply
because your sins testifies against you.
  • One should put on righteousness as a breastplate,
and a helmet of salvation on His head, so when
the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of
the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

3
Sin Separates 1-1
  • What does sin do, and what kind of affect will
it have on the believer's life?
  • Sin causes a separation. It separates you form
your God. This separation from God is death
    eternal, unless you Repent.
  • Behold, the Lords hand is not shortened, that
it cannot save nor His ear heavy, that it cannot
    hear.
  • Go to GEN 33v. God spoke to Adam but of the
fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the
garden, God has said, you shall not eat it, nor
shall you touch it, lest you die.
  • The instruction from God Himself was very clear,
do not eat from it, nor do not touch it, lest you
die. This sinful act from Adam caused him to be
    separated from God.

4
Sin Separates 1-2
  • What Happen physically and what happen
    spiritually?
  • Immediately after Adam ate of the tree that God
told him not to, Adam immediately died
    spiritually.
  • After Adam ate of the tree of knowledge of good
and evil, he immediately died spiritually, then
he, began to die physically. Sin had entered into
the human race, and brought with it death.
  • The fact, that man is a sinner is proven by the
fact that he dies where there is death, there is
    sin.
  • ROM 512v says Therefore, just as through one
man sin entered the world, and death through sin,
and thus death spread to all men, because all
    sinned.

5
Sin Separates 1-3
  • Sin penalty by death it can be remedied by
lifes union with God, which is achieved by
belief in Jesus, who died to pay the penalty of
    mans sin.
  • ROM 521v says, so that as sin reigned in death,
even so grace might reign through righteousness
to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • For the one who believes in Jesus, the penalty of
sin is broken. Behold, the Lords hand is not
shortened, that it cannot save nor His ear
    heavy, that it cannot hear.
  • Yes, you will die physically (unless you is alive
when Jesus returns to take all believers to
    heaven with Himself.

6
Sin Separates 1-4
  • 1 THESS 51-11v talks about the description of
    the day of the Lord.
  • Paul writes about the description of the day of
the Lord, by saying for you yourselves know
perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a
    thief in the night.
  • Take a look at 1 THESS 53v For when they say,
Peace and safety! then sudden destruction comes
upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.
    And they shall not escape.
  • Now this description that Paul writes about the
day of the Lord, signifies that the very moment
they say these words, Peace and safety! The
Lord Himself will cause a significant change to
take place threw out the hold world. This event,
also signifies that this, is the day of the Lord
coming back. It does not tell us when the day or
the hour of his return. But it does states that
then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor
pains upon a pregnant woman and they shall not
    escape.

7
Sin Separates 1-5
  • But let us who are of the day be sober, putting
on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a
    helmet the hope of salvation.
  • Those who are saved in Christ Jesus keep the
faith and love, for this is your helmet, the hope
    of salvation.
  • You see God did not appoint us to wrath, but to
obtain salvation through our Lord and savior
Jesus Christ. Behold, the Lords hand is not
shortened, that it cannot save nor His ear
heavy, that it cannot hear. Repent and give your
life to Him this day now.
  • The physical death for man is only the doorway
into the presence of God. Sin, however, does have
an effect upon the believer. Sin is death to the
unbelieving person because it separates them from
    God.
  • Less briefly talk about the Revelation Concerning
the Dead in Christ, 1 THESS 414-18v

8
Sin Separates 1-6
  • 14v For if we believe that Jesus died and rose
again, even so God will bring with Him those who
    sleep in Jesus.
  • 15v For this we say to you by the word of the
Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the
coming of the Lord will by no means precede those
    who are asleep.
  • 16v For the Lord Himself will descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of an
archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the
dead in Christ will rise first.
  • 17v Then we who are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the clouds to
meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall
    always be with the Lord.
  • 18v Therefore comfort one another with these
    words.

9
Sin Separates 1-7
  • Sin in the believers life is a terrible thing
and is not to be tolerated. Yet it is probable
that the believer will sin, but it is never
necessary for him or her to do so.
  • 1 John 21-2v My little children, these things I
write to you, that you may not sin. And if anyone
sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus
    Christ the righteous.
  • 2v And He Himself is the propitiation for our
sins, and not for ours only but also for the
    whole world.
  • Sin causes one to be separated from God. To me
Paul gave one of the greatest examples when he
made this statement, I die daily

10
Sin Separates 1-8
  • What should be done about Sin in a believer's
    life?
  • Psalm 325 I acknowledged my sin to You, and
iniquity I have not hidden. I said, I will
confess my transgressions to the Lord ,And You
forgave the iniquity of my sin.
  • The believer should never condone or attempt to
excuse his or her sin. There are only two things
that should be done about sin Confess it and
    forsake it.
  • The Old and New Testaments both agreed on this.
David confessed his sin and experienced the
    Lords forgiveness.
  • John agrees as he points out If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to for give us our
sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

11
Sin Separates 1-9
  • Confession means to acknowledge and ask for
    forgiveness.
  • The believer is instructed to say the same thing
as God says about his or her sin. God wants us to
repent, confess our sins and ask for forgiveness.
  • When the believer confesses his or her sins, he
or she has the assurance that God is faithful.
There is no sin too great and no sin too small,
God is able to cleanse us completely from
anything that is inconsistent with His own moral
    character.
  • Behold, the Lords hand is not shortened, that
it cannot save nor His ear heavy, that it cannot
    hear.

12
End of Presentation
  • Seek the Lord while He may be found
  • Isaiah 556-7v
  • (6v) Seek the Lord while He may be found, call
upon Him while He is near.
  • (7v) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteous man his thought Let him return to
the Lord, and He will have mercy on him and to
our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
  • Hope that you have enjoyed this teaching about
sin ruling in the life of the believer. Just
remember that when the believer confesses his or
her sins, he or she has the assurance that God is
faithful. And that God will here your
    Acknowledgement pardon your sins.
