THREE POSSIBILITIES

• Imagine a neighbors 14 year old, getting into his
  dads car, running through your yard, cutting
  ruts through it and knocking over your mailbox.
  What would you do?
• Justice Call police, tell parents, give plan
• Mercy Give him a way to work it out
• Grace Take him for ride, buy a coke, talk about
  his life, offer forgiveness and care.

Son in hog pen

• Luke 15, Son has wasted fathers money and is now
  in need, feeding pigs.
• He was getting what he deserved.
• Came to Himself
• Going home Admitting guilt and pleading for
  mercy Make me a hired servant
• Father gave him grace Best robe, ring, shoes
  and kill the fatted calf. My son has come home.

Landowner and workersMatthew 201-16

• Had a vineyard full of grapes and needing to be
  harvested.
• Went out to find workers agreed with them for a
  denarius a day.
• Gathered more workers all through the day and
  promised to do right by them.
• End of Day Paid all a denarius for work.
• Early workers felt cheated.
• Landowner showed grace.

GRACE TO SINNERS

  insolent.
• Gods grace was exceedingly abundant, with faith
  and love in Christ
• Saved from all sins, completely forgiven
• Given a huge mission as apostle to the Gentiles.
  Enabled Him for the work.

WHEN I UNDERSTAND GODS GRACE

• I can stop trying to earn my way to heaven.
• I can feel secure in my salvation. I John 513

• I can find the gift God has given men and find
  joy in serving God. Romans 126-8
