Plot Overview

• A Ghost of King Hamlet appears to his son,
  Prince Hamlet
• The Ghost tells Hamlet that his Uncle, Claudius,
  killed him.
• The Ghost wants Hamlet to avenge him.

• Hamlet decides to test his uncle by reenacting
  his fathers death.
• When Claudius sees the scene where King Hamlet is
  murdered, he quickly leaves.
• Hamlet realizes his uncle is guilty and goes to
  kill him.
• Claudius finds out about Hamlets plot and
  banishes him to England.
• Before going to England, Hamlet accidentally
  kills Polonius, thinking it was Claudius.

• Laertes comes back from France and finds out his
  dad is dead.
• Claudius plans to kill Hamlet during a
  swordfight, with Laertes using a poisoned sword
  and poisoned wine against Hamlet.
• Hamlet comes back from England for a short time
  and is invited to the swordfight.

• During the fight, Hamlet declines a drink from
  the poisoned wine. Instead, his mother Gertrude
  drinks the wine and instantly dies.
• Leartes cuts Hamlet and accidently cuts himself
  as well. He then confirms Hamlets suspicions
  about Claudius.
• Laertes dies, and Hamlet takes the poisoned
  sword. Hamlet kills Claudius. Soon after,
  Hamlet dies.
• Fortinbras comes right after the fight, discovers
  the hall filled with the dead people, and moves
  to take power.
