appear at the same time. - If it did there would be mass confusion as some
of you would read ahead and get really confused - You can control it so each bullets or items

- Select your slides by highlighting them one at a
time while holding the shift key down. - When they are all selected go up to the Slide
Show Menu. - Select Preset Animation and chose one of the
options there by releasing the mouse. - Notice that there is now a little graphic under
each selected slide.

- You move from slide to slide by clicking the
mouse, pressing enter or using the arrow keys. - Each bullet should appear individually as you

- There has been a different transition between
each slide in this presentation. - This is achieved through the slide sorter view
- You click on the transition button.
24- You will get this window
- You can look at your options by going through the
menus and selecting them.
25- You can apply a transition or effect to one slide
or all. - Go to slide show and view the effect.
- If you are not satisfied with the results, go
back and repeat the steps. - You always have the flexibility of changing your
slides or your presentation. - Most of that is done through the slide sorter
view.
26Inserting Graphics
- You should be at the point where you want to
insert a photo, graphic or clipart. - Go up to the insert menu on the toolbar.
- For practice select Picture and under that
Clipart - Look through the selections and double click on
something you want.
27Continuing to insert graphics
- This will automatically insert it into your slide
where you can resize it, move it add to it or
delete it. - Heres one of my favorite
- clips!
- I mean, honestly we all
- sometimes feel this way!
28Grabbing Graphics from the Web
- If you see something you like on the internet you
can insert it into your PowerPoint Presentation. - Place the pointer over the graphic or picture and
right click on it and select Copy - Then switch back to your PowerPoint and right

you directly to the internet into your PowerPoint
Presentation - Go to the Slide Show menu and Select Action
buttons or Action Settings to start the process - To add action to text, you must first type it in
and then select it by highlighting it.

- Then go to the Action Setting on the Slide Show
Menu and click on Hyperlink to and from the menu
select URL - Then enter the URL of the site you want to
connect to. - Heres a site that helps with PowerPoint
- PowerPoint
31Action Buttons
- Buttons work much the same as text but you click
on the button to bring you to the web site. - From the Slide show menu select Action Buttons,
you want select one, go to your slide and drag to
the size you want. - As soon as you let go then you can put in the URL
for the website you want to go to.
32A Reminder
- You will not be able to go out to the website
unless you are in the presentation mode.
33Moving Objects from foreground to background
- Sometime you will want to put a photo or a piece
of clip art behind the printing - Insert the graphic into one of your slides that
has writing in it. - click on the graphic again
- click on Draw in the lower left corner
Keep your eye on this man!
34The Draw Menu
- The graphic you pasted into your slide should
obliterate the writing - You have many options but for now go to order.
Select Send to Back while you have the graphic
highlighted. - Notice that the man here is blocking the words
- But now he is behind the words
35It is tricky!
- It is always tricky with color and color on your
slides to have the reading legible with graphics
in the background. - You need to alter the text color or reposition
the graphic. - In order to change the text color - highlight
what you want to change - then click on the
bottom toolbar where the letter A is
36Changing Text Color
- When you click on the A you get options of
colors. You can select a color that might go
better with your graphic. - Most of the time it would be easier to use a
slide format that would let you put the graphic
to the side!
37Changing Background color!
- You can change the color of your background by
going to the Format Menu and selecting
Background - This box will appear
- The drop down menu
- gives you more choices

39Adding video
- Of course you can add video clips to your
presentation - A word of caution - video take up an enormous
amount of memory - it makes your presentations
much less portable
- Use the digital camera to take stills or a short
movie - Take your disk from the camera, insert it into
the computer, click on Insert Movie from the and
select the A Drive - Double click on the movie
40That will add it to the presentation.
- This however will only run it from the floppy
disk - not good.
- You should save the file to the space on your G
Drive. You will then be able to access is from
any computer on the network.
41Downloading Video or Audio
- You should always save the file you are
downloading to your hardrive or network space - I set up a folder titled Net Downloads so
anything I download from the Internet goes there
- that way I dont spend extra time searching - Once you have a video clip select a slide format
that allows you to enter a video
