Dear Mom and Dad, Today we went to Stonehenge, in
southern England. It was really cool! I didnt
know that it took over 1400 years to build it! I
can see why it is one of the worlds greatest
mysteries. I cant believe it was built by HAND
without the use of modern machinery. Wish you
were here! Love, Tammy

Directions
  • Choose a blank slide

These directions were created for Windows based
operating systems. If you are using a Macintosh,
some directions may be a little different.

How to create a box for students to write in and
put their picture in
  • Make sure you have your drawing toolbar visible
    go to view toolbars drawing
  • At the bottom of your slide look for the
    rectangle icon on the toolbar.

3. Stretch the shape to the size you want your
postcard on the screen 4. Right click on the
shape and click on Format Autoshape

5. Click on the arrow to the right of color and
choose no fill
6. You may change the width of the border if you
would like to. This is in the same area that you
changed the color to no fill.

How to copy a Picture into PowerPoint
  • Once you have found a picture on the Internet,
    you will right click on the picture and click on
    copy.

  • Go to your PowerPoint slide and go to edit-paste
    (Or right click on the slide and select paste.)
  • Move your picture to the left side of the slide.
    You can resize by grabbing a corner of the
    picture.

Add a Text Box
  • Now you are ready to add a text box. Click on the
    text icon on the toolbar at the bottom of your
    screen.

Click and drag the text box where you would like
it on the slide. If you dont type something in
it right away, it will disappear.

Stamp Clip Art
  • Feel free to copy an of these stamp pictures and
    use them with your project. Remember to right
    click and copy OR right click and save picture
    as. This will save the picture to your computer
    for future use.
