What is an angle?
Angle- Two rays with the same initial point form
an angle.

While naming an angle , the name of the vertex of
the angle is always written in the middle.

Measuring of angle

If this angle is divided into 180 equal parts,
each part is called an angle of one degree which
is the unit of measuring an angle. 1 degree is
written as 1 .

• Acute angle
• Right angle
• Obtuse angle
• Straight angle
• Reflex angle
• Complete angle
• Zero angle

ACUTE ANGLE
An angle whose measure is greater than 0 and
less than 90 .

RIGHT ANGLE
An angle whose measure is 90 .

OBTUSE ANGLE
An angle whose measure is greater than 90 and
less than 180 .

STRAIGHT ANGLE
An angle whose measure is equal to 180 .

REFLEX ANGLE
An angle whose measure is greater than 180 and
less than 360 .

COMPLETE ANGLE
An angle whose measure is equal to 360 .
