  • The cash drawer is known as the till.
  • Each store employee that checks will have their
    own till.
  • Employees will be responsible for their till.
  • NEVER use another employees till.
  • All tills will be assembled in the store office.

  • When operating your till never leave it open
    where customers can take money out of it.
  • Never make change with another till without
    contacting the manager or advisor.
  • You will be responsible for the contents of your
    till.

  • Most cash drawers have 5 compartments in the
    back to hold bills and checks.
  • They also have 5 smaller compartments in the

  • Place the one-dollar bills in the far right
    compartment. To the left of the ones are the

    quarters and half dollars.
