1. The world as God made it
God is the loving ruler of the world He made the
world
And he made us to rule the world under his
authority
Revelation 4v11

The Bible says

• You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive
  glory and honour and power, for you created all
  things, and by your will they were created and
  have their being.
• (Revelation chapter 4 verse 11)

2. The way things are today
But each of us rejects God as ruler. We try to
run our life our own way.
This is what the Bible calls sin. It leaves us
cut off from God now and heading for eternal
separation from him.

• There is no-one righteous, not even one there
  is no-one who understands, no-one who seeks God.
  All have turned away, they have together become
  worthless there is no-one who does good, not
  even one.
• (Romans chapter 3 verses 10-12)

3. The bridges that dont work
Many people think they can bridge the gap by
doing good or by getting religious.
But nothing we do can get us across to Gods side
and deal with the judgement we deserve

• man is destined to die once, and after that to
  face judgment

4. Gods loving solution
In his love God sent Jesus into the world to die
in our place. On the cross he took the
punishment we deserve so we might be forgiven

The Bible says

• For Christ died for sins once for all, the
  righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to
  God.
• (1 Peter chapter 3 verse 18)

5. A living hope
God then raised Jesus to life and he returned to
heaven. He has now been made the ruler by God.
He is able to give new life and will one day
return to judge

The Bible says

• Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord
  Jesus Christ ! In his great mercy he has given
  us new birth into a living hope through the
  resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

6. The choice we face
Or to accept Jesus personally as rescuer and
ruler, and so be forgiven and receive eternal
life with him
We are left with a choice to continue going our
own way and so face death and judgment
