Employee Rights and Responsibilities
  • Check employment status at top of page
  • Example Full Time, Classified
  • Checklist of information that will be addressed
  • Please carry this notification with you to all
    meetings
  • At the end of your final session, please sign and
    date and place in the provided folder.

Employee Folder
  • The manila folder that is provided is where you
    need to place all completed information.
  • At the end of your final session, folders will be
    collected by the meeting facilitator.

Criminal Background Check
  • Complete all highlighted sections
  • Alias Only for those who have a maiden name or
    who have previously gone by an alternate name.
  • Citizenship U.S. if a United States Citizen

Criminal Background Check
  • It is mandatory for all classified employees to
    undergo a state criminal background check.
  • The cost to process the background check is 10
    cashiers check or money order

Physical and TB Test
  • Please present documentation of a physical and TB
    skin test done within 90 days of hire.
  • A physical and TB test must be on file before you
    begin working.

Para Educator Test or Transcript
  • Instructional Aides Documentation that you have
    passed the Para Educator Test or Transcripts
    showing at least 64 college credit hours.

Classified Employee Handbook
  • Please read through your employee handbook to
    find important information regarding Board
    policies and procedures.
  • For a complete listing of Board Policies please

PAY DATE SCHEDULE
  • Pay dates 10th and 25th of every month
  • Double pay day on August 25th, June 10th, and
    June 25th
  • Money is available the morning of pay day
  • Please note All school year employees will
    receive
  • 4 TOTAL CHECKS IN JUNE NO CHECKS WILL BE
    RECEIVED IN JULY

Classified Salary Schedule
  • Enclosed is a salary schedule for the position in
    which you have been hired.
  • The hourly rate you will receive is based on your
    job class and years of experience.
  • The hourly rate you will receive for the
    2006-2007 school year has been highlighted.

Years of Experience
  • Classified years of experience must be directly
    related to your position and must be verifiable.
  • If you believe you should receive years of
    experience, please complete the verification of
    experience form.

Time Clock
  • Used to clock in and out of work
  • Must be performed on a computer
  • To clock in
  • Type in your employee number and hit enter
  • Type in the last 4 digits of your social security
    number, hit enter
  • Select the appropriate icon and click
  • For example, clock in, clock out, view
    hours
  • If time is missed clocking in and/or out, a
    manual adjustment time sheet must be completed
    and returned to your location bookkeeper.
  • Found at each location
  • Do not share your time clock login or password
    with anyone!

Contracts
  • You should have two copies of your contract.
  • Please sign both copies.
  • Place one of the signed copies in your folder.
    The other is for you to keep.

What You Need to Know
  • You must sign an AUP agreement to be given access
    to email and the internet.
  • Today, after signing the AUP agreement, you will
    be given a unique username and password.
  • Security You can be seen at any time while using
    email and/or internet.

Acceptable Use
  • Use your account in support of education and
    research that is consistent with the educational
    objectives of the Scott County Schools. This may
    include reasonable personal use.

Examples of Unacceptable Use
  • Sharing your password
  • Using or altering anyone elses password
  • Allowing someone to access any area of your
    account
  • Accessing any computer or network for which you
    are unauthorized
  • Creating or sharing computer viruses
  • Playing games with no educational purpose over
    the network
  • Using network resources for personal profit
  • Destroying another persons data
  • Sending massive e-mail
  • Distributing or collecting obscene, abusive,
    discriminatory or threatening material via
    telephone, video, e-mail, internet, or other
    means
  • Sending chain letters
  • Conducting any illegal activity via the network
  • Sending harassing or abusive e-mail messages to
    others
  • Using vulgar or inappropriate language

Contract / Logins and Passwords
  • Please sign and date the AUP contract.
  • Login and Password You are responsible for any
    activity performed under your login and password
    therefore, dont share your password.
