  • 1 Tim 41-2
  • Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter
times some will depart from the faith, giving
heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of
demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having
their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
  • 2 Tim 43-4
  • For the time will come when they will not endure
sound doctrine, but according to their own
desires, because they have itching ears, they
will heap up for themselves teachers 4 and they
will turn their ears away from the truth, and be
    turned aside to fables.

6
  • Mark 4
  • Verse 3 His first word to the crowds is,
    "Listen!"
  • Verse 9 "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
  • Verse 23 "If anyone has ears to hear, let him
    hear!"
  • Verse 24 "Consider carefully what you hear!"
  • Verse 33 "Jesus spoke the word to them,
literally as much as they could hear."

7
  • Luke 2249-51
  • 49 When those around Him saw what was going to
happen, they said to Him, "Lord, shall we strike
with the sword?" 50 And one of them struck the
servant of the high priest and cut off his right
ear. 51 And He touched his ear and healed him.

JOHN 101-27"Most assuredly, I say to you, he
who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but
climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and
a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the
shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the
doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice
and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them
out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he
goes before them and the sheep follow him, for
they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means
follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for
they do not know the voice of strangers." 6
Jesus used this illustration, but they did not
understand the things which He spoke to them.
9
  • JOHN 101-277 Then Jesus said to them again,
"Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of
the sheep. 8 All who ever came before Me are
thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear
them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me,
he will be saved, and will go in and out and find
pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to
steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come
that they may have life, and that they may have
it more abundantly. 11 "I am the good shepherd.
The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd,
one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf
coming and leaves the sheep and flees and the
wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The
hireling flees because he is a hireling and does
not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good
shepherd and I know My sheep, and am known by My
    own.

10
  • JOHN 101-2715 As the Father knows Me, even so I
know the Father and I lay down My life for the
sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not
of this fold them also I must bring, and they
will hear My voice and there will be one flock
    and one shepherd. 17
"Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down
My life that I may take it again. 18 No one
takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I
have power to lay it down, and I have power to
take it again. This command I have received from
My Father." 19 Therefore there was a division
again among the Jews because of these sayings. 20
And many of them said, "He has a demon and is
mad. Why do you listen to Him?" 21 Others said,
"These are not the words of one who has a demon.
Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?" Now it
was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it
    was winter.

  • JOHN 101-2722 Now it was the Feast of
Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. 23
And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon's
porch. 24 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said
to Him, "How long do You keep us in doubt? If
You are the Christ, tell us plainly." 25 Jesus
answered them, "I told you, and you do not
believe. The works that I do in My Father's name,
they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not
believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I
said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I
know them, and they follow Me.

  • God, who at various times and in various ways
spoke in time past to the fathers by the
prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to
us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all
things, through whom also He made the worlds

  • THE PROVISIONS FOR HEARING HIS VOICE
  • John 1016 "they shall hear my voice"
  • TodayThe Bible2 Timothy 316 All scripture
is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
    instruction in righteousness

20
  • Acts 751-59
  • "You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and
ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit as your
fathers did, so do you. 52 Which of the prophets
did your fathers not persecute? And they killed
those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of
whom you now have become the betrayers and
murderers, 53 who have received the law by the
direction of angels and have not kept it." 54
When they heard these things they were cut to the
heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.

21
  • Acts 751-59
  • 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed
into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus
standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said,
"Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of
Man standing at the right hand of God!" 57 Then
they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their
ears, and ran at him with one accord 58 and
they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And
the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet
of a young man named Saul.

22
  • Acts 94-5
  • Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice
saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you
persecuting Me?" 5 And he said, "Who are You,
    Lord?"
  • Acts 97
  • And the men who journeyed with him stood
speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.
  • Acts 910
  • Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus
named Ananias and to him the Lord said in a
vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am,
    Lord."

23
  • Rev 27
  • "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit
says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will
give to eat from the tree of life, which is in
the midst of the Paradise of God."'
  • Rev 139
  • If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
