The Problem
  • Both the Skillset (Audio-Visual Industry Sector
    Skills Council) Annual Audit and other CCI
    research in the SE and West Midlands demonstrate
    an under-representation of BME practioners
  • Not an issue of talent!

The iCi Hypothesis
  • That through the effective integration of
    industry needs and learning requirements,
    delivered through innovative and flexible
    platforms, processes and methods, the DP can
    enable BME and other minority groups, through
    joint-working, to become employable and exploit
    their talents in the dynamic, creative industries
    sector.

The iCi Aim
  • to create a persisting framework of off and
    online resources and participation opportunities,
    that contribute to the empowerment and employment
    of the target communities within the creative
    industries and regeneration efforts of Birmingham
    City Council, Slough BC and North West Media
    Training
